The word yoga means to join, unite or merge. This mighty word is derived from the Sanskrit root yuj. Yoga is a generally a science and it may also called as an art. The regular practice of yoga integrates the body with the mind and the mind with soul, thereby helping us to clearly understand our own natures and to live harmoniously with our fellow man.
This simple yoga can be practiced by all irrespective of race, country, color, caste, sex and age. Most people generally are aware of only to aspects of Yoga, the asanas and meditation. But Yoga is something more than these two aspects. The term Dhyana is nothing but meditation, uninterrupted and deep concentration for a prolonged period.

The Yoga-asanas are well suited for children. They are mostly imaginative and unique. Yoga for children is certainly one way to ensure that our children grow up healthy and happy. This principle of yoga asanas reinforce the universal values such as truth, non-violence, cleanliness and contentment, the asanas help a growing child develop physically, emotionally and psychologically.
So Yoga is necessary complement to formal education. Yoga’s are positive in nature and make well balanced men and women with strong bodies.
